Access Bangladesh Foundation has organized a national discussion meeting on “Achieving Disability related SDGs Targets: The Role of Media” in association with 5 other implementing partners- DCF, NCDW, Sitakund Federation, TurningPoint and WDDF on 7 November, 2019 at National Press Club, Dhaka supported by Disability Rights Fund. Ms. Farida Yasmin, General Secretary, National Press Club was the chief guest and Mr. Monsur Ahmed Choudhuri, Former Member, UN Committee for the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Zahirul Islam Mamun, Chief Executive Editor, ATN Bangla were present as special guest in the discussion meeting. The event was started by the welcome address of Ms. Mohua Paul, Co-Founder of Access Bangladesh, presided by Mr. C M Tufail Sami, Chairperson of Access Bangladesh. A keynote paper was presented by Mr. Albert Mollah, Executive Director of Access Bangladesh Foundation. He was also the moderator of the event. Representatives from NGOs, DPOs, CSOS, national and international development agencies, electronics and print media, Self-Help group members of persons with disabilities also took part in the discussion.
