Access Bangladesh has participated in the Human Chain as a part of celebrating International Women’s Day 2019 in Savar, Dhamrai and Pabna sadar Upazila under the project titled “Promoting Rights of grassroots Persons with Disabilities through Community-led Initiative (PRPD-CI)” supported by Commonwealth Foundation, UK. The event was organized all over the country by Upazila Women Affairs Office under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs on 6th March, 2019 in support of raising our voice for women empowerment. The organization in association with its partner organizations Protik Mohila O Sheshu Sangstha , Protibandhi Kallyan Songstha (PROKAS) and Rangdhonu Zilla Protibandhi Adhikar Sangstha has also celebrated the “International Women’s Day 2019” on Friday 8 March, 2019 jointly with local government in Dhaka, Bandarban, Pabna and Rangpur district supported by Commonwealth Foundation and Manusher Jonno Foundation. The theme of the day for this year is “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”.
