Access Bangladesh has organized an orientation session on ‘Disability Rights and Protection Act 2013, Pouroshova Act 2009 and Circular on disability inclusiveness of local government under “Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities through Community based Initiative” project on 15 December, 2019 at Dhamrai Pouroshova meeting room. Dhamrai Pouroshova Mayor was present as Chief Guest and all Commissioners were present as special guests. Project Coordinator Mr. Md. Jahangir Alam has spoke on Disability, Types of Disability, Rights of Disability, Pouroshava Act 2009 and Government circular on how to make disability inclusiveness Pouroshova. Co-founder Ms. Mohua Paul demanded to include Access Bangladesh into Town Level Coordination Committee (TLCC ) as a member and she also demand to provide blanket among poor persons with disabilities. Pouroshava Mayor Golam Kabir has committed to provide blanket, VGD, VGF among persons with disabilities. He also provided financial support among entrepreneur with disabilities. He assured us to include Access Bangladesh into TLCC as a member. The event was supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation and UKaid.
